Tattoo Clients

Tattoo

For my new brief i had the chance to pick my own subject matter. Which is always a hard ask for me, because i work best under instruction. But i came up with the idea of designing a tattoo for  specific client so it wasnt just in my own hands what i could do, i still had instructions and a client to instruct me.

I've always been inerestedin tattoo's and body piercing ever since i got my first one when i was 16. i think this might be because of the people behinf it. Thes artists. when i was 16 i went into my very first tattoo shop to get some script done on my wrist. i had a drawing of my own that i drew up to give them an idea of what i wanted. He praised me for my technique and drawing skills which shocked me. i never really thought of these people as artists. just someone who was trained in using a specific piece of equiptment.
Ever since then iv always looked at them in a differen light.
Last summer a friend of mine who knew i studied illustration asked me if i could draw something up for him. I've never done a tattoo before so i didnt really know where to start. looking into tatto books and programmes like london ink i started looking up designs.

Here are a few clips that got me inspired.

Unfortunantly it wont let me upload the video, but i will tell you whats going on

This girl wanted the phoenix for a very important reason. The phoenix to her represented her life. She never had a stable home, and suffered some dark days, but she has risen above it. The phoenix itself symbolises rising out of the ashes and concering all the struggles. So this tatto to her was something she touched apon to get her where she is. And is something that will stick with her and help her.
